Hosting the visit from The Big Green Bus makes Sci-Tech Discovery Center want to discover more about alternative energy and fuels. 

What does  Alternative Energy mean?  

Generally it means getting energy in a different way than from the burning of coal, petroleum, propane or natural gas - what are called Fossil Fuels.  The Big Green Bus has a diesel engine to help it get started, and then converts to running on waste vegetable oil once it can be heated enough.  Because of the concern of global warming there is more attention than ever on alternative and renewable energy sources.
