Discovery Stage
presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco
Ready for some wonder? Visit the Discovery Stage at Sci-Tech to find out what ideas we’ve been exploring. On our online calendar, you can see what shows we will be doing and at what time. You could see an explosion, get caught up in an illusion, learn about microscopic robots and see the inside of a real eyeball!
Wow Lab
Designed to inspire those “aha” moments, the Wow Lab is stocked with additional hands-on activities that change weekly in accordance to themes. This spot is perfect for that parent/child interaction.
iSpace
Innovate, invent, imagine, inspire, inquire. This divisible multi-purpose area will serve a wide variety of groups for camps, birthday parties, Engineer-It Saturdays and teacher development workshops.
Kid Zone
presented by Atmos
A quiet nook that serves as a haven of learning and discovery for infants and toddlers with books, comfy chairs, trucks, and cars.
Preschool Storytime
Join our Discovery Staff as we check out our weekly themes through picture books and guided experiments. Storytime takes place at 10:30am Tuesday through Friday in our iSpace.
Sci-Tech Sundays
presented by Freddy’s Frozen Custard
What’s better on the weekend than an ice cream sundae? Try a sundae made with Liquid Nitrogen! Learn about what happens when things get cold, and how to make some great ice cream. Presented by Freddy’s Frozen Custard.
Engineer It
“Engineer It!” is an attitude Sci-Tech Discovery Center wants kids to have when they face a problem. To foster this problem solving mentality, we have developed Engineer It Saturdays, 2 hour workshops where kids discuss problems scientists face, learn about how those problems get solved, and do hands-on experiments to tackle those problems in a real-life context. While many Engineer It programs are planned and facilitated by our own Education Staff, we seek out community partners for themes as well. Engineer It Saturdays are included with paid admission and, unless otherwise noted, last from 10:00am-noon.
No Engineer It events are currently scheduled
